<image:title>Blog - Four simple rules for navigating life, finance, and business - #1 Make sure your foundation is solid</image:title>
<image:caption>Turn the basics into instincts. People tend to jump headfirst into projects and experiences without having a high level of confidence in their ability to execute. Notice I didn’t say capability; plenty of people are highly competent, but still constantly ask themselves “am I doing this correctly?” That’s why I always recommend beginning your journey by turning the basics into instincts.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Four simple rules for navigating life, finance, and business - #2 Stay on the “good snow”</image:title>
<image:caption>Chart your journey. This step is all about charting your journey. On a ski slope, as in life, it is relatively easy to find a path to success as long as you’re paying attention to the landscape. Where do you want to go? If you are working at a “9-5 job” and you really want to be an entrepreneur, then select experiences and opportunities (and even employers) that will get you closer to your end goal. You are taking in information holistically now; you will have enough time to plan for success and adjust if necessary. There is absolutely no need to make rash decisions. Let’s say you simply want to become financially independent. Utilize your solid financial foundation to first create a “safety net” that allows you to take calculated risks; then focus your brainpower to create the income streams and investments necessary to achieve your goal. Standard tools, such as an Investment Policy Statement come in very handy here.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - Four simple rules for navigating life, finance, and business - #3 Avoid the big obstacles</image:title>
<image:caption>Understand potential setbacks and develop alternative routes. Nothing in this life has a guarantee attached. There are often random “gotchas” thrown our way that may cause us to deviate from our pre-planned path. These things are going to happen, whether they be in the form of a financial setback, a health-related one, or an event that negatively impacts our business. Luckily, most of the obstacles we face are massive and highly visible - much like a tree or a boulder on a ski trail.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What does it mean to be exceptional? - As an Insights® certified facilitator, I help individuals and teams understand the four basic color energies used for interacting with others. A fundamental principle of the Insights model is that we all have access to each of the four color energies, however the combination of how we access and apply these energies vary from person to person. For example, two different people may both lead with Earth Green energy. This is the energy of nurturing, warmth, loyalty and relationships. However, the way that each person shows up will be different.</image:title>
<image:caption>This same principle applies to individual purpose. You may have similar strengths, skills and abilities as another person, but you are not that person. What works for that individual will have no implications on what will work for you. The biggest source of discontent that I see with my clients is when they are operating out of alignment with their individual purpose. It is so easy to get distracted by the path and success of others; but trying to walk another’s path is a direct route to failure. I work with my clients on gaining clarity on their own unique purpose and establishing their purpose as the anchor for the work that they do.</image:caption>

What things am I currently doing that must CONTINUE in order to sustain the business?.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - A Simple Path to Strategic Planning - Congratulations! You now have a solid foundation for your strategic plan. You will need to add details about “how” you plan to achieve the action items from your final START list. You will also want to make sure that you are assigning a person who will be responsible for each of the items, as well as a projected start and end date for completion. To finalize your plan, you will break down each action item into the milestones to be completed weekly, monthly or quarterly depending on the timeframe allocated to the goal. These milestones will help you monitor whether or not you are consistently operating in alignment with your strategic plan and on target to meet or exceed your overall objectives.</image:title>

He specializes in developing strategies and campaigns to connect to and build a relationship with your clients, regardless of industry. After leaving college with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Wayne made the decision to pursue a career evangelizing and driving demand for cutting edge technology rather than spending life behind a desk developing it.
